To all my fantastic, rambunctious (first) cousins, I want you to know my thoughts are with you during this time. Uncle Max was a sweetheart and Dad loved him and looked up to him as the best big brother a guy could have. I really wanted to make it out to share this time and reconnect with you all. Sorry I am unable to do so. Please know my heart is with you all.
Love,
Rachel (Hatch) Degmetich

What a great family leader and adventurer! Ricky, your Dad must've enjoyed his life thoroughly, and I hope his enthusiasm lives on in each of his children, including you. Thank you for sharing this little bit of his legacy. Congratulations on having such a great father and mentor. My family and I express our sincere condolences to you and yours. Sincerely, Garaleen Parks

As I look back through my life, there were several people that made an impact on my life. Max was my teacher in sixth grade and in a troubling time,he helped me. I consider him one of those special people placed here to help me.I am sadden at his passing but find joy for him and loved ones as he enters a much better place.

Dear Hatch family, I too remember Max as my 4th grade teacher at Draper Elementary. Besides making school enjoyable, he was famous for teaching his students how to play chess. He was a good man and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go to your family.

Dear Hatch Family:
My condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to each of you in the loss of this dear man.
Max was my 4th grade teacher and I have so many fond memories of his class. He made school so much fun, teaching us the play the ukelele, the recorder and the records that he made for each student. I still have that record after 60 years and will cherish the memories as well as the man. I was honored to meet his wife Lena when they came to our Draper Heritage Banquet when we did it on education. The world lost a great man. I will miss his newsletters. My prayers to each of you. Rest in Peace dear friend.
