Michael K. Madsen passed away on August 15, 2020 at his home in West Jordan, UT.
Michael was born in 1947 to Leonard and Ardeth Madsen in Gunnison, Utah
Mike met the love of his life and his eternal companion, Crystal Heath. On November 6th, 1970 they were sealed in the Manti temple and were married for 49 years. They lived in the Avenues in Salt Lake City until they moved to West Jordan. Mike and Crystal raised 6 children. Tracy, Angela, Cory, Tiffany, Mindy, Brittany.
Services will be held Friday, August 21, 2020 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home located at 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan and will be attended by invitation only. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm. Interment West Jordan City Cemetery. Services can be viewed live online at www.jenkins-soffe.com.

I served a mission in Australia with Michael. We were not companions but we knew each other in the mission home and served in the same district and zone. I had lots on contact with him and we became good friends.
I remember when he hernia surgery as a missionary. He was the best of the best.

Dear Crystal,
We were so saddened to read about Mike’s passing today in the newspaper. I don’t even know if you would remember me, it has been SO many years ago since Your’s & Mike’s paths crossed with mine and my Mother’s (Hazel Broadhead’s) at KTVX, Channel 4 TV station in the 1970’s & 1980’s. But, I just couldn’t let Mike’s passing go by without letting you know what an impression YOU and MIKE made on me then...AND how much much your friendship meant to us. I’m SO sorry our lives got SO busy over the years and we lost touch! I remember Mike was such a humble man. A hard worker and such a good father. BUT, I REALLY remember how much he loved & cherished his wife and the Gospel! I’m sorry we are out of town this week, or I would have come to the viewing. Our love and prayers are with you Crystal (and your family) at this tender time! Again, we are SO, Sorry for your loss! Teresa & Jerry Rechtenbach
