Michael Paletta Obituary

Michael Raymond Paletta "Sonny" Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend has returned home to his Heavenly Father on November 2, 2008. Mike was born in Helper, UT on January 10, 1940 to Pete Paletta and Annieliesse Irma Kamper. He married Chrie Delliskave December 1, 1962 and was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple June 4, 1976. After graduating from Carbon High, class of '58, he went on to serve his country diligently in the US Navy from '58 to '64 and with the Utah Air National Guard, 130th EIS Squadron from '76 to '88. He worked many years with AT&T and T-Mobile. After retiring Mike loved to serve the Lord in the Jordan River Temple, especially with all his friends. When he was not serving the Lord he was out playing golf with his sons. He is survived by: his wife; and five children, Cindee (Sheldon) Sommer, West Jordan, Tracy (Lisa), Mapleton, Pete (Sonya), Kearns, Mike (Debbie), Saratoga Springs, & foster son, Bryan (Christina) Yazzie; 17 grandchildren; two brothers, Ron and Eugene; two sisters, Anna Marie and Georgina; and his beloved pets, Amber and Shebella. Preceded in death by: his twin brother; at birth; and his parents. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 8th at 12:30 p.m. at the River Chapel, 1080 West Chapel Ridge Dr. (11473 S). A viewing will be held Friday, Nov. 7th from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday 11-12 at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Park, 6500 S. Redwood Road.

I offer my condolences to your family at this time. I worked with Mike for five years in the same office M-F. I remember teasing him telling him that we were family since we spent more time together then with anyone else! Mike was and will continue to be a great person and I am sorry for your loss.
