Dear Plunkett family,

I knew Mike mostly from the stories Dave would tell me frequently. I know how close your family is and how much you treasure your times together.

My heartfelt condolences go out to your family. It must be extremely difficult to accept the loss of a family member so young, loved and full of life.

May the joy of fond memories dull your immediate heartache.

Best Regards,

Marty, Marie, Sarah, & Dave,

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. In the last few days, we have remembered the funny little boy who drove the kitty cat snowmobiles, hunted for Easter Eggs in your yard and shared other fun activities with us. Time has flown and we are sorry we didn't know Mike as an adult. He sounds like he was a very loving man, much like his mother, father and uncle. Our hearts and prayers go out to you during this time of sorrow.

Love, Kim, Andy & Whitney

Our hearts are broken forever from the loss of Mike's passing. When our son Eric became such a close friend of Mike's, it was like he had found his chosen brother. We loved Mike's humor, intelligence, caring, and that beautiful smile.

We will always be thankful for their friendship-Mike was extraordinary as a compassionate, delightful person. You raised a tremendous son. His spirit will be in our hearts forever.

Love, Katie & Tom

Dear Chuck, Marie and family,

My sister, Kellie, called today to tell me of Mike's passing. I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I did not know Mike personally but he sounds like a wonderful young man that brought others laughter and happiness.

As you probably know my brother, Craig, lost his son, Chase, to Luekemia last month. It is painful to loose someone so dear at such a young age.

We have found comfort in sharing "Chase Stories" that help us relive the happiness and laughter he brought into our lives.

May you find comfort in "Mike Stories" that will help you to relive the happiness, laughter and joy he brought to your lives.

Remembering you in our thoughts and prayers.

Though I did not know Mike as well as I would have liked, I do know his father -- one of the finest men I have never met in my life. I have no doubt that Mike possessed many of those same incomparable qualities that make Marty so very irreplaceable. I am sure that Mike, like his father, touched countless people lives in a significant manner and for that he will surely be missed.

Dear Marty, Marie, Sarah, Jeffrey, and David,

Words cannot truly express the sorrow in my heart I feel for your loss. Mike was a wonderful person, and every time we would run into one another he would always say “it’s nice to see you, how are you doing?” with a grin on his face. Mike was always kind, friendly, caring and a joy to be around. Both you and Marie did a wonderful job raising Mike that made him the man he was, a wonderful person and a great guy. My last memory of Mike was up tail-gating at the University before a game and you pointed me out to Mike, I was up the lane a bit, and he went out of his way to come over and say hello and ask how I was doing. Mike was truly one of the good people on this earth, and I believe everyone that came in contact with Mike have a wonderful memory of their meeting. I know he touched many lives, as he touched mine, and added a little happiness to those he met. I will never forget him he will continue to be an active part of my heart and mind and I am so very, very sorry, and I will miss him also.

The pain passes, but the beauty remains.

Sincerely and with Love,

Bruce ‘Bambi’ Lambert

Working Hard or Hardly Working?

Judy Weidman

This is the Mike we all knew at work. He was always smiling and his laugh made you want to laugh too. I really enjoyed working with Mike and having someone close to share my day with. He would share things about his family and you could tell that they were very close. He spoke about how much he enjoyed the times he spent with his Dad and his Uncle. He told us about his little brother and his sister. And of course the ways his Mom would take care of him. We always need our Mom's no matter how old we are. We are all in shock that this has happened to our friend. He always tried to be healthy, it was something he thought about alot. We will dearly miss him.

Marty-

I just read about Marshall (Mike) and wanted to send my sincere sympathy. With two teen-aged boys under my wing, I can't think of anything that would hurt so much and so deep. I'm giving you a giant bear hug and I won't let go until you do.
