Katherine, I know Nick was special to you and I recognize how hard this is to bear. Remember the good times and it might help. You have the love and sympathy of everyone that knew Nick and that knows you.

I never knew Nick until my son Michael (Avondet) informed me of his passing. Michael and Nick hung out at school and Nick was even trying to get Michael into the ROTC. Nick's passing hit my son pretty hard. I am really sorry for your loss. From what I heard Nick was a wonderful and caring person. All my thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Take care and god bless.

To the family of Nick Goris
My name is Scott Carrillo. He was in the AFJROTC in Panama City, Fl. We met there my Junior year his Freshmen year during Freshmen orientation week, and from that moment on, he had that friends for life kind of personality. Throughout those times in ROTC, they werent easy for either of us, and the way we stayed afloat, was to make a certain vow. We vowed to keep looking up towards God whenever things got tough. When he called me to tell me that he got saved, you have no idesa how overjoyed i was. I was very proud to have him under my wing not only as a fellow cadet, but as my best friend. Mr. and Mrs. Goris, I salute your son. May you find peace, and rest during your times of troubles. Everyone from Panama City sends their condulences. We love you, and may God bless your family.
