Nina Pope Obituary

Nina AndersonPope  SPRINGVILLE - Nina Anderson Pope, age 100, passed away Thursday October 3, 2002. She was born March 19, 1902, in Oak City, UT to Jay Lee Ander-son and Emma Estelle Broad-head. Nina mar-ried Charles T. Pope in the Logan LDS Temple July 24, 1939. They were blessed with two children, Kay and Reva, who joined his children, Lloyd (Oris), Lynn, Harold, and Ruth to complete their family. Nina was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother with unconditional love and unquestionable integrity. She cherished the memory of her mother and father. She was grateful and proud of her heritage and her posterity. She graduated from BYU and worked as a case worker for Public Welfare and Emergency Relief, a home supervisor for Federal Farm Security, School Teacher and Home Bound Teacher. Nina is survived by her son, Kay Lee (Janice); daughter, Reva (Carl) Mohlman; son, J. Harold; sister, Zola Black-hurst; daughter-in-law, Amy Johnstun; 31 grandchildren; 90 great-grand-children. A viewing will be Mon. Oct 7, 2002, 6-8 p.m., Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St, Midvale, UT. Services will be 10 a.m. Tues. Oct 8, 2002, in the Springville 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 1785 E. 400 S, Springville, UT. Friends may call at the church Tues. 9 a.m. to time of services. Interment, Vernal City Cemetery, Vernal, UT, at approximately 3 p.m. Tues.
