Rex Marsh

Rex Marsh 1913 ~ 2008 OREM - Charles Rex Marsh, 95, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 surrounded by his family at his daughter's home. He was born July 29, 1913 in Oakley, Idaho, the son of John D. Marsh and Florie Green Marsh. He married Donna Renshaw on October 7, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died July 9, 1987. He married Ann Dent Fillerup on June 26, 1993 in Provo, Utah. Rex was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of his life. He served in many capacities including Bishop, Branch President, High Councilor and Gospel Doctrine teacher. He served two missions: the Missouri Independence Mission and the Salt Lake Temple Square Mission. He is survived by his wife Ann; son-in-law David Shattuck (Nelda); children Joan Gardner (Miller), Mary Tibbets (Jonathan), John Marsh (Brenda), Kathy Calkins (Mark); 25 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Donna, daughter Janet Shattuck, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 at the Lakeridge 3rd Ward Chapel, 158 E. 1100 S. Orem, Utah. Friends may call Thursday, Sept. 11th from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah and 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
