Richard Curran Martin
Richard Curran Martin 1948 ~ 2009 Richard Curran Martin, 60, passed away peacefully January 8, 2009 at his home in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born on September 24, 1948 in Queens, New York to Robert E. and Jean Frances Curran Martin. He attended Hillcrest High, BYU and the U of U. He married Clara Martin on February 27, 1971. They later divorced. He then married Pamela Jean Martin on December 22, 1997. Richard loved teaching and counseling. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was an avid animal lover and enjoyed many pets throughout his lifetime. Richard loved reading, especially history and science fiction. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Jean Martin; daughter, Angi (Brent) Fankhauser, their children, Cecelia Blackmon, Brooke Cranney, Spencer Fankhauser, Connor Fankhauser; son, Major Richard C. Martin, Jr. (Jennifer), daughters, Natasha Martin and Amanda Martin; siblings, Peter D. Martin and Robert E. Martin. He is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Martin. Memorial service for Richard will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 4615 South 3200 West, West Valley City, Utah, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
