Salt Lake City, UT - Ricky (Rick) Harvey Dearr, 69, passed away on March 23rd, due to complications from melanoma. He is survived by sister Robin Atwood, wife Paula, four daughters; Laura, Melissa, Kimberly Vent (Marcus), Danielle and grandson, Morgan Vent.
Born on October 11th, 1954, in San Francisco, CA, he settled in Utah in 1972 for college, later meeting Paula whom he married in 1977. A versatile entrepreneur, he pursued ventures in gaming, software, real estate and more.
Rick's passions included photography, gaming, and ocean exploration. As a father, his legacy lies in the enduring memories and profound love he shared with his wife and daughters. Charismatic and humorous, he made friends effortlessly and left a void impossible to articulate.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held for Rick on March 29th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, in the Chateau at Le Jardin, 1910 Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah 84092. Hawaiian shirts are encouraged!

Dear Rick,
I was so excited today that I had found your phone number & left a voicemail message for you to call me back. Wanted to catch up on old times to see how you and your family are doing. I knew it was your voice on the voicemail, can´t mistake your voice. After I left the voicemail message wanted to see if there was a picture of you, Paula and your kids on the internet. Then this popped up, boy what a loss for the World & everyone in it. I felt such a huge loss, and could not believe you weren´t here anymore. You Rick, are a dear, kind, creative, wonderful & awesome man. Heaven is so lucky to have you now! God bless Dear Paula and all your awesome daughters!
