Mr. Pixton was my favorite teacher. He knew his science VERY WELL.... and I always said he was my favorite teacher and that is still true. He knew my dad, who taought industrial arts for West Jordan Jr. High school students... also. Theymay have known each other being so close in age and atending the same high school and both went to the same college. He will always be my favorite teacher.... I became a teacher, too. .... no one will ever be the teacher he was...... he made me LOVE science. I wish I had taken sewing from Eunice, his wife. She was alovely.... Kerri Anderson..... Sandy, UT

Dear Mrs. Pixton,
I have held you in my thoughts and heart for over 20 years--wondering how you were. I am so sorry for your loss, but know that you are now looking forward to your reunion someday.
I am filled with appreciation for your self-less service as my teacher. I always wanted you to know that you gave me so much more than sewing skills! I think of you often and send my love.

Dear Eunice,
I was saddened to hear of Robert's passing. Heavenly Father does give us challenges when he takes our loved ones away, doesn't he? I have such great memories of the two of you. I'm certain you have some wonderful memories to cherish of the remarkable years you spent together. My life has been enriched through my association with both of you.
May the Lord bless you with peace and good health for the coming years.
With love,
Elizabeth Burton (aka Hodson)

Bro Pixton was an iconic figure of my youth in the Draper 2nd Ward. He was an example to me of what it means to both live and teach the values that we hold so dear. Although he will be missed, I have learned from him that truly living the gospel includes a strong personal conviction and an application of that conviction within the family and an expression of that conviction to those you love. For nineteen years we have lived and served, worked and prayed with those residents of Michigan that he grew to love when he served here on His mission. My love to all of you.

I always love hearing the stories from Dad about growing up with his older brother - doesn't matter how many times I hear them, it still makes me smile. Uncle Robert really surprised me once, I think it was at Lisa's wedding. He came right up to me and gave me huge hug and kiss on the cheek - practically picked me up off the ground. I was speechless - very uncharacteristic of him. This came from the man that said that he would "skin me alive" if I kept spinning in his swivel chair. Awesome man. Awesome Uncle.

Dear Eunice: It was so nice to talk to you this morning. I have great memories of teaching with Robert at Hillcrest and then, working with the two of you personally. I always felt that he was one of the "best" educators I had the opportunity of knowing. And, I always appreciated his way; soft, caring and sincere. Blessings to you and your family with your loss of Robert and may you be comforted in the days to come. Warmest regards, Carroll Dolson

Dear Eunice and family,
A faithful son has gone home to his reward. It was an inspiration to see the two of you so faithfully fulfilling your temple assignment over the years. May your faith support and sustain you as you continue on for a while without his earthly companionship. And may you remember without doubt the joys that await you because of lives well lived. My love to you and yours.
