Robin Francom

1955 - 2017

Robin passed away from cancer and other afflictions on April 15, 2017 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City. She was born on December 19, 1955 in Salt Lake, the second of six children of Richard South Fox and Barbara Christiansen Fox. She graduated from East High School in 1973, attended Dixie College for two years and then graduated from the University of Utah. In 1982 she married R. Scott Francom in the Jordan River Temple and for almost thirty-five years the bond with her loyal and supportive husband has been her most valued and cherished blessing. They have enjoyed camping trips and visiting relatives. Some of their favorite dates have included eating in fine restaurants. Robin's life has included challenges associated with major chronic physical and mental diseases. She is survived by her parents, her sisters, Rachel (Mike) Collins, and Kristina (Marcus) Sorenson; her brothers, Kent, Dayn (Dena), and Randall (Karen); her nieces and nephews, and many cousins all of whom she dearly loved.
A memorial service celebrating Robin's life will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, in the Forest Dale Ward chapel at 739 East Ashton Avenue (2340 South), Salt Lake, at 2:00 p.m. Friends are Invited to greet the family at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a worthy charity of your choice. Robin's body has been contributed to the University of Utah Body Donor Program for medical research purposes.
