SALLY PERSCHON Obituary

Sally M. Perschon 1918 ~ 2010 Our beloved mother, Sally Perschon, age 92, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born February 23, 1918 to Stephen G. McKean and Charlotte P. McKean. She graduated from East High School and then entered the work force helping her family during the Depression. Mom married Charles A. Perschon on October 13, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served with her husband in the Munich Germany Mission 1980-1982. As a beautiful young woman she played tennis and modeled at ZCMI. She was a wonderful cook and an exceptional pianist. Her unique hand writing was her trademark. Her best work was being a mother. She was the glue that held our family together. Her sweetness was without end. Sally is survived by her four children: C. Robert Perschon, Susan (Frank) Perri, Mark (Sue) Perschon, Karl H. Perschon, numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Perschon. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to Care Source for their kindness and unconditional love during this period in Mom's life. Services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive with a viewing one hour prior to services.

Dear Perschon Family,
I am saddened by the passing of your mother. I will always remember the sweetness and thoughtfulness your mother possessed as a young missionary in the Deutschland Munchen Mission (1979 - 1981). She was a Lady of Zion. May the Lord comfort and bless you in this hour of need. My prayers will be with you.

Sue and the rest of the Perschon clan, please accept my sympathy at Sally's passing. I didn't know her well as all of you did but my interactions with her left me with the impression that she was a women of formidable intellect and a lively and sometimes irreverent sense of humor (maybe this is where Gabe gets it from?). No doubt she is sorely missed.
