Senituli Kinikini Obituary

Senituli Sosaieti Kinikini 1942 ~ 2003  Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and best friend Senituli Sosaieti Kinikini passed away July 20, 2003 due to natural causes. Senituli was born April 7, 1942 in Halaufuli Vava'u Tonga to Tevita Muli Ki'Uiha Kinikini and Leo Tukuifale Langi. On June 14, 1967 Senituli married his sweetheart Ana Moala Fangupo in Nukualofa, Tonga. They were later sealed for time and all eternity on July 14, 1968 in the Hawaii Temple. Senituli was a loyal and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved and lived the Gospel and served faithfully in various capacities in the Church. His final calling was as Bishop of the Liberty 3rd Ward, in the Salt Lake Utah Tongan Stake. He found joy in serving his Ward members and loved them dearly. Senituli loved his family. He often spoke of his Father and the example that he set for him and his brothers and sisters. He continued on his Father's legacy by following in his footsteps and by teaching his own children the things which he was taught. Family barbecues, working in his garden, listening to Tongan music, playing the drums, and spending time with his family and friends were some of his favorite things to do. But nothing came before the Savior and his great work. He devoted most of his time to reading and studying the scriptures. He had a strong testimony of the Gospel and shared it with others every opportunity he could get. He served others diligently and sacrificed all the fruits of his labor for the work in which he truly believed in. Senituli will be most remembered as a teacher, a leader, a gentleman, a friend, a man of Integrity, a light in the darkness whom we were so blessed to have as our Dad. He was hard working and selfless. He loved to serve his fellow-man and often carried the burdens of those who couldn't bare to carry them alone. We know that he loves us and that he will continue to watch over us. The void of our Father passing on will never be filled, but we firmly believe in what he taught us and know that we will be together again someday. Our deepest thanks Dad. We Love You. He is survived by his Queen Ana Moala Fangupo Kinikini and the Jewels in his life Tofilamoa Senituli (Klaus Fonua), Sela Senituli (Aaron Tuita), Peni Tutuila (Janelle "G" Kohler), Otilani, Hola Matileti (Takamua Malolo), AuhangaMea LeAnn, Elder Sione Taliauli Faletau (serving LDS Mission in Kenya, Nairobi), Tevita Muli Ki'Uiha, Senituli Kinikini Tuita (Grandson), Pricilla Ate (Sione Manu) and 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by his most priceless comrades, brothers, Taniela Muli Kinikini and Tetikeisini Kinikini; sisters, Susana AuhangaMea Po' uha, Vika Fatafehi Tua'one and Tofilamoa Ngata. Senituli was preceded in death by Tevita Muli Kinikini (Father), Leo Tukuifale Langi Kinikini (Mother); brothers, Tevita Fanamaka, Kime Tui'pulotu, Sione Takapautolo, Paula Langi, and Pita Masaku Kinikini. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., July 26, 2003 at Liberty 3rd Ward Chapel, 2465 South 800 East, where family and friends may visit Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates, under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.

Passing away is always sad for us on earth while it's a joyful reunion to those love ones on the other side of the veil, who have been waiting impatiently for our return. It's comforting to know that eventhough Senituli is gone physically, his spirit will always be around his loved ones on earth. Even though you're gone, you'll never be forgotten, your smiling face, your loving heart..Have a joyful trip back home!! Till we meet again.

Sorry , to hear of the passing of

Sam. Irene BLunt told us just now.

He had always a smile on his face.

I am so greatful for the day that he saved me at the dump. When my oil pan hit some stuff and I was stranded. He was a good friend.

We will always remember the pig roasts at the ward.

Our prayers are with you all at this time.
