I have so many fond childhood memories of visiting the Thorup family and being in Sharon's cheerful presence. She always seemed to be such a great person to me. I am so glad I was able to visit her the summer of 2004.

Dear Karen and Paul,

I'm so sorry to know that your mother has passed away. Karen, you always talked so positivily about your Mother and lit up when you told me that she thought you two were "kindred spirits." I'm very sorry for your loss, yet very thankful to have two such good, nice, wonderful friends from Volleyball.

Sincerly, Jackie Parker

Uncle Bill, you have my deepest condolences in the passing of Aunt Sharon. I will always be grateful for your kind, generous and loving support--welcoming me into your home, and allowing me to a part of your family. Aunt Sharon's laugh (that little chuckle), her wit, her strength of faith, and her endless devotion to your family have made an imprint on my life. May God bless and comfort you in this time of remembrance.

Aunt Sharon loved holidays, and celebrated each one with a growing company of family, relatives and friends. Though she is sadly missed this Thanksgiving season, a joyous reunion at another Table welcomes her.

You may not remember me, but I have many fond memories of the Thorup family. I believe most of you have touched my life in one way or another. You were my babysitters, my Sunday School teachers, older boys I looked up to who honored their priesthood, and family and personal friends.

I remember the book report Paul and I did using your puppets and puppet show stage. "How To Eat Fried Worms" ... it was a hit! And of course, I remember the smile on your Mom's face while she watched us practice.

My deepest sympathies to each of you on the passing of your sweet wife, mother, and grandmother. May you feel the comforting peace of the Holy Ghost at this difficult time.

Our sympathies to you, Bill, and all of your family. We have so enjoyed Camille and her family as we have seen them in the Salt Lake Temple and sealed her son there. Our service in the Laie Temple prevents us from being there. Bernice joins in sympathy.
