Ted Ross Obituary

Ted Rollo Ross  If we live our lives well, God will exalt us on High and we shall conquer all our foes. Ted has conquered his greatest foe, Alzheimer's disease on Wed., Oct. 30, 2002. Ted Rollo Ross was born in Fremont, Wayne County, Utah on Feb. 7, 1931 to Rollo Ross and Thora Anderson Ross. He married his high school sweetheart, Donna Suter on Sept. 8, 1950. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served four years in the Navy during the Korean War.They had three great children, Julie (Ronde) Larsen, Ephraim, Utah; Teri (Paul) Barton, Payson, Utah; and Scott (Peggy Newsome) Ross, Heber City, Utah, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ted has two brothers, Dan, Salt Lake and Errol (Charlotte Ivy) Sandy, Utah. He was employed with the Telephone Co. for 34 years and retired on Dec. 30, 1983 to spend more time on his "Small Farm." Ted started his own business, "Ross Wiring , taking time out in 1986 to serve a mission for the LDS Church, with his wife. He was preceded in death by his son Scott, nine months ago. His mother and father and a sister-in-law, Connie Harmer Ross. Ted is remembered by his family as a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and was tireless in his work efforts. He died at home with those who knew and loved him best, his family. Funeral services will be Monday, November 4, 2002, 11:00 a.m., in the Payson 7th Ward Chapel, 711 South 600 East. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 S. 100 W., Payson, Sunday, 6-8:00 p.m. or at the church Monday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery with military rites accorded by the American Legion, Dist. #4. In lieu of flowers the family would suggest donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
