Tyce Stratton Olsen
2003 - 2014
2003 ~ 2014
Riverton, UT.-Our loving son, brother, grandson and friend Tyce Stratton Olsen, age 10 passed away on March 16, 2014, from injuries sustained in a motocross accident. Tyce was on his last lap, the checkered flag was waving when he was suddenly called home.
Tyce was born on November 4, 2003 in Salt Lake City, UT to Chad and BreeAnn Allen Olsen. He was the oldest of three children. Tyce loved motocross and raced competitively. He competed all over the nation and gained many friends through his motocross associations. He had the ability to connect with anyone and was well liked by all who met him. Tyce had a magnetic personality and was very outgoing and loved life.
Tyce couldn't wait for his next adventure of riding dirt bikes on the motocross track and in the desert. He loved fishing with his grandpa and spending time with his "buddies." Tyce loved every second he spent with his dad as they traveled to different competitions nationwide. His dad was his best buddy. Tyce would never stop. He was energetic and made the trips memorable for everyone. He loved his dog Nitro and tormenting his sisters.
Tyce was a passionate and courageous boy and in his final act of kindness and love, he was able to pass on the gift of life to others by donating his organs. It broke our hearts to see his little body begin to fail, but we are comforted to know that his heart is still beating strong, offering life to another child.
"Little man, I thought we would have a lot more time together. If someone would have told me I was going to lose you so soon, I would have thought they were insane. I'm going to miss the little things: your spicy personality, the quarrels and negotiations over your unfinished homework and the bargaining you attempted. I am going to miss your extremely high energy level and never wanting to hold still for more than two minutes. I am also going to miss your endless pleas for whatever you wanted. Most of all, I will miss your beautiful face, your long eyelashes, the freckle on your scalp, your perfect little nose and "snuggly" body. Visit me in my dreams beautiful boy! Till we meet again-Love Mom. Tyce, somehow we lived 30 years in a 10 year period, and I loved every second if it. Love you buddy! -Dad.
Survived by his parents, two sister: Taya and Tyli; and many other loving family members.

Breanne & Chad: There are no words adequate to ease the sorrow of your loss.. Breanne I can't remember one day that you did not speak of your children. Your big smile talking about Tyce's accomplishments. How fortunate for Tyce to have such loving parents. He was here for a reason and your connection will never be broken. Reading the condolences one can tell that your son was loved and an inspiration to everyone around him, that is truly the mark of wonderful parents. His spirit will live on with the many scared memories he has left.

Our heart aches for loss at such a young age as we think of Tyce and his family. What beautiful words for a beautiful boy. May his legacy live on through his family's memories and brave choice of organ donation. He has touched many, as well as his wonderful family, who raised a vibrant and kind boy.

When God calls little children to dwell with him above,
We mortals sometimes question the Wisdom of his Love.
For no heartache compares with
The death of a small child,
Who does so much to make
Our world seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold,
So he picks on a rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them,
So he only takes a few,
To make the land of Heaven,
One beautiful of view.
Believing this is difficult,
Still sometimes we must try,
The two saddest words mankind know
Will always be good-bye.
So when a child departs,
We who are left behind,
Must realize,
God Loves Children, Angels are hard to find.

Dear Olsen Family- I am so sorry. Tyce accomplished so much in a short time. I will always remember watching Tyce with Tate, Tavin and Teagan riding their motorcycles and 4- wheelers at the field by my house. Great Memories to keep! Rest in Peace.

Chad and Breeanne one thing I know is there really isn't any words that help.It will always be an honor to be a part of your lives, I will always remember the great times at the track and you allowing me to cheer Tyce on in the races. People would ask if Tyce was mine and I would always respond hell yes. I will never be able to think about fishing without remembering the day in Ogden when Tyce had fish in his head and just could concentrate on riding. The great example he was to our Jace what a great big brother and best friend he was always there for him. Tyce will always be a hero to me!! I love your family and will always be there if you need anything.

I cannot imagine what your family is going through. Tyce was so full of life as he touched the hearts of everyone he met. He was loved by so many. I hear so many stories from the kids at school about how funny and helpful he was. The class and the school won't be the same without him. The Rose Creek Elementary family mourns with you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

Breeann, I can't think of anything to say that could possibly make this any easier for you and your family. What a handsome little man you have. He is clearly talented and full of life. I am sure he has brought so much energy and fun to your little family. Thank goodness we can have the eternities to be with each other. Until then, you have a precious little angel, who no doubt, will be hanging around you all until you see each other again. I hope your family will find some comfort in knowing that. I miss you and am thinking about you.
