Dear Jill,
We were so saddened to hear of the passing of your father. We didn't know him, or the circumstances surrounding his illness but do know of your family and feel that they are quality people. Accept our serious condolences to you and your family. Our prayers will be that your close family, friends and community will rally around you at this difficult time...."the Richard and Cleone Allsop family/Trenton, UT.

Dear Aunt Colleen and Jay, Jill, Katie, & Spencer:
We love you and send loving hugs your way. We so much wish we could be there for you during this time. What wonderful memories that I have of my Favorite Uncle Val. I will so much miss his big hugs, his laugh, and delicious cooking at family parties. I have always been impressed by his hard-working attitude and that he was always willing to do any job to support his family. He was truly very talented at many things. I am so thankful for the blessings of eternal families and that we will all be together again.
With Love, The Awtrey Family

Dear Colleen and family,
My heart has been greatly saddened this day to learn of the passing of your dear husband, father and friend. I feel so grateful that my path in mortality crossed--albeit so very briefly--with Val's so many years ago when we served together as counselors in the Elders Quorum presidency of our Rosecrest 2nd Ward in Salt Lake. What a truly choice and gentle spirit he possessed! I know that our loving and all-knowing Heavenly Father needs him at this time for another calling on the other side of the veil. My sincerest thoughts and prayers will be that you will find much peace and comfort during this time of loss and in the days, weeks and years ahead. I feel confident that Val has already heard, by now, these words from the Savior himself, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"
