Virginia Gallagher Silver

Virginia Gallagher Silver 1958 ~ 2005 Virginia (Ginger) Gallagher Silver, passed away unexpectedly July 9, 2005, at the age of 47. She was born February 19, 1958 in Morristown, NJ to Joseph Francis and Anne Decker Gallagher. As a child, Ginger moved to Pacific Palisades, CA. She graduated from Marymount Catholic High School in 1976. In 1977, Ginger moved to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah. While attending, she was active in her Sorority, Phi Mu; she graduated in 1982. After college, she met the love of her life, Michael Silver. They were married in Reno, NV April 30, 1988. Ginger held various positions in hospitality, advertising, reproductive services, and office management in California and in Utah. Ginger was a Certified Emergency Medical Technician and was proud to have volunteered for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Ginger was a loving mother to her two beautiful daughters, and a devoted wife, sister, daughter, and friend. Ginger had an amazing sense of humor, she found joy in the small and precious things in life, she always followed her heart and gave of herself readily, she loved the beach, lighthouses, dogs, and most of all, her family. We miss her. Ginger is survived by her beloved husband, Michael; daughters, Michelle, and Caroline; father, Joseph Gallagher, Santa Monica, CA; sisters, June Griffiths, Bellevue, WA; and Aline Gallagher, Santa Monica, CA; in-laws and many friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church 670 South 1100 East.
