So very sad to hear of Skip passing. I worked for him for six years at Nick 's. He always treated me like family. He was a great businessman. I learned a lot from Skip. Most of all he was a gentleman and I am blessed to have known him. RIP

Oh Skip…Christmas Eve without your infectious laugh was no good!! You were such a good man, you ALWAYS took care of your family, and you would brighten any room. The memories racing thru my mind leave me grinning ear to ear! Father's Days lounging around your pool, your wonderful turkey at Thanksgiving, and many, many Christmas Eves at the farm. I will think of you and smile every time I make your stuffed mushrooms or spicy aioli. Thank you for being you! Sending my love to the entire family!!

Skip, you taught me so much back in the day when we worked together @ Partees .
I remember you stopping to pet a stray dog early one morning as we walked behind Target to your vintage car after wk. You were so kind to him and although you were undoubtedly tired you gave me a lift home. those were sort of "salad days" give your uncle Theron a hug for me. Although my journey took me away from the area I have never forgotten your friendship

If I'd have known your name was Alvin I'd have teased you more in High School. We spent hours matching coins at your hall monitor post, you still owe me 30 cents, I'll get it when we meet later. Thanks for sharing a small part of your life with me. You will live on through Family and friends and always in my heart. Be at peace my friend.

Skip, you meant so much to the family we shared. I treasure the memories we shared riding those thousands of miles on our motorcycles. I will miss seeing you in my rear view mirror covering my backside, but take comfort knowing, as you so recently told me, that you would be watching over us from above. Ma, Baby Sister, and all the rest of our clan will really miss you. Rest In Peace my BIL.

A friendship that endures more than 46 years can never be replaced. Your life on earth was never about you but about those around you. You leave having given each of us all a piece of Skip Bachman that will be with us always. I'm grateful for the times we shared and the many laughs we had about the simple things in life. I will always love you like a brother! Lennie

I have known Skip since before he was in the food business. In that, as in life, he produced a high quality product. He was a father, a patriot and a friend. I would guess that he comparing recipes with Linda and Guido in a better place. God bless him and his family.

I'm so sorry that Skip is not with us anymore and for your sorrow at loosing a loved on.
I met Skip when I was working at the Hyatt down the street from Skips. Our staff loved eating and enjoying the friendships at Skips. My work kept me on Fleur Drive for a long time and close to people that frequented Skips. It was so good to see Skips smiling face greeting you when you came into the restaurant.
My very best to you and lots and lots of prayers.

We were born 12 days apart, and met in high school. He was that strange fellow who played Abraham Lincoln so well!!! Meeting him again later in life, we became good pals, spending many hours of fun at "SKIPS" ,with lots of laughter! He had a great laugh, usually at MY expense, and I loved it! Our family had a very high regard for Skip, he was a good man, with a kind heart, and an excellent businessman. I thought he would live forever......the thought of loosing him never crossed my mind. He was a special friend, and I will miss him. I am sending love to Lori and all the family. Sue Wood
