Bradley Bryan Schoer, 64, of Marshalltown, entered into eternal life, July 11, 2011, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m, Saturday, July 16, at Hope United Methodist Ch.urch. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., July 15, 2011 at Hope United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions to honor Brad may be directed to his family. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.vogelfuneralhomes.com. Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care is entrusted with arrangements.

Brad was born November 4, 1946, to Gladys (Ell) and Henry Schoer in Holstein IA. On June 30, 1968 Brad was united in marriage to Peggy Riley at First United Methodist Church in Melbourne Iowa. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired after 34 years of work for Martin Senour Automotive Paint and currently worked part time at Goos Implement in Gladbrook.

Brad was an avid Hawkeye and NASCAR fan, he collected Allis- Chalmers memorabilia, he enjoyed riding his scooter around Marshalltown and spending time with the gang at the 13th St. Inn.

He loved spending time with his family, playing a great game of pepper, telling stories to entertain others and bragging about his grandkids. Brad supported Peggy's dedication to her work with the Marshalltown Community Theater.

Brad will be dearly missed by his wife of 43 years Peggy, his children; Meri (Chris) Edel, Julie (Tim) Mull and Jodi (Jeff) Duffy, his grandchildren; Alex and Leah Edel, Breanna Wooldridge, Avery Mull and Erin Duffy, his mother, Gladys Schoer, his brothers; Wayne (Marlo), Tim and Travis Schoer, his sisters; Denise and Teresa Schoer and Diane (Mitch) Sabin, nieces and nephews; Jacob, Joshua, Melissa Schoer and Jameson and Megan Sabin, his mother-in-law, Esther Riley, sister-in-law, Lynne (George) Chardoulias and niece and nephew, Chris and Jess Chardoulias.

Brad joins in eternal life his father, Henry and father in law Bud Riley.

I would like to offer my condolences to Brad's wife and family. and also to his mother, Gladys, and family here in Iowa. I was a classmate with Brad. It comes as no surprise that he liked to collect Allis Chalmers memorabelia as that is what he grew up with on the farm
