Bruce David Carlson died June 27, 2017 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Dean and Inez (Carr) Carlson on November 3, 1965. Bruce graduated from Ames High School in 1984. He continued his education at Iowa State University and he graduated in 1989. Bruce worked for Ames Laboratory, then the City of Marshalltown, and EMC Insurance Company for the last 17 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean, and grandparents, Ernest and Florence Carr, and Harry and Imo Carlson. Bruce is survived by his wife, Shelly, his mother, Inez Carlson, brothers Tom (Tami) Carlson of Wichita and Jeff (Julie) Carlson of Omaha, nephew James Carlson, and nieces Michaela Carlson and Jennifer Carlson.
