Carl Stephenson "Steve" Jaeger, 83, was born November 30, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa to Carl and Lurene (Stephenson) Jaeger. He passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Ramsey Village in Des Moines.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., with funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
Steve was a graduate of the University of Iowa and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and the Lutheran Church. He was very proud of his time that he served as a U.S. Army Ranger. During his working years, he was employed as a Metallurgical Sales Engineer. His hobbies included home remodeling and repair and had a great love of animals. Steve enjoyed spending time with friends and was always up for a good conversation.
He is survived by his children, Kristin (Steve) Mullin and Stuart (Sarah) Jaeger; his grandchildren, Erin and John Mullin and Jack and Grace Jaeger; and his beloved dog, Stryker.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

I always looked forward visiting with Steve as he always had a funny story to share. And we loved to talk about our dogs. He was a wonderful proud gentleman. My condolences to the Jaeger family.
