Madrid
Charles L. Kirkpatrick, 79, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at his home in Madrid. Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, January 3, 2014 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Charles was born July 14, 1934 in Cabool, MO to Clayton and Susie (Reeves) Kirkpatrick. He retired from Firestone in 1986 and was an outdoorsman, enjoyed wood working and spending time with family and friends. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; children: Charles E. Kirkpatrick, John Kirkpatrick, Sonya Haskin; five grandchildren; step children: Tom Walker, Tim (Sandy) Walker, Andy (Kris) Walker, Mandy (Duane) Richardson; 10 step grandchildren; sister, Christina Kirkpatrick; brother, Herbert Kirkpatrick; sister-in-law, Liz Kirkpatrick. Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris M. Kirkpatrick; sisters: Ruth Belvins, Juanita Cox; brother, Wilburn Kirkpatrick and three half-brothers.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2013 at the Sundberg Kirkpatrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Madrid Home or the American Cancer Society. On-Line condolences are welcome at www.IlesCares.com.

To Jan, Sonya, John & Chuck, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband and father. Chuck was a great guy and I know he will be missed by many. God holds his hand now, as he waits for his family and friends to be with him, once again. He will always be in your hearts and watching over you. May you find peace and comfort with his passing.
