Christina Franz Obituary
Bondurant
Christina, or Nina, as many people knew her, died instantly in a horrible car crash Sunday afternoon. Her brother, Trevor, was with her. Her last act on this earth was to swerve the car, saving Trevor's life. That was the kind of person she was.
Christina lived her 26 years, 1 month and 20 days to the fullest. She loved pulling pranks, playfully teasing people, doing anything to make people smile. She was a faithful friend to all who knew her. She loved traveling, playing sports, playing guitar, and she loved, loved, loved Christian music. She went to many concerts and personally knew many of her favorite musicians. More than anything, though, Nina loved her family. She came home most weekends just to spend time with her parents, brother, aunts and uncles, and cousins. She wasn't just a family member to all of us ... she was our best friend. Words can not describe the loss we feel.
Christina proudly accepted Jesus as her personal savior on June 1st 1996. She lived her life as a true example of what a Christian should be. She once said that the biggest compliment that she ever received was when a co-worker, upon learning that Christina was a Christian, said that she already figured that out because of the way Christina acted and treated other people. Now my baby is in Heaven, rocking with the angels.
Christina graduated valedictorian from Bondurant High School. She went on to earn two B.S. degrees from Grace University graduating Summa Cum Laude with both degrees. Christina worked at Children's Hospital in Omaha. Her dream was to work full-time in Christian music management.
Christina is survived by her parents, Larry and Melinda Franz, brother, Trevor, Grandpa David Krueger (Judy), Grandma Pat Krueger, Grandpa and Grandma Lloyd and Betty Franz, Uncle Trent (Deb), Uncle Troy (Noelle) Krueger, Aunt Linda (Mike) Hedden, Uncle Doug Franz and Aunt Cindy (Kenny) Mack. She had many cousins but was especially close with Kylie Krueger, Jade Krueger, A.J. Krueger, Autumn Krueger, Cael Krueger, Matthew Hedden, and Timothy Hedden. Please keep our family in prayer as we adjust to this incredible blow.
Visitation will be 5 PM to 8 PM Thursday and the funeral will be at 11 AM Friday, both at Westchester Evangelical Free Church, 4919 Aurora Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50310.

Its Me again Melinda, I know Your Mother has told you I've Called and that Russ and I are praying. I know that the pain that you wake up with, is still intense, and you wonder,,, Why? How Long,,, IS it ever going to get better? My heart is still hurting for you and Larry and Trevor and Aunt Pat , and the whole family, a family she cherished so very much. Dear Family,
We came upon the accident while traveling over the Fourth of July weekend. When we saw what had happened, we could only assume that the young woman in the driver's seat could not have survived such a blow. I prayed for her and for you, her family, and for all those assisting at the accident. I will continue to pray for you as you grieve the loss of this beautiful gift from God. The obituary you wrote about Christina is beautiful and I commend you for raising up such a wonderful young woman. What a glorious day it will be when you join her in heaven. Hang in there and may God bless you with the peace of Christ that surpasses understanding.

Larry and Melinda
Words cannot express how saddened I was to hear of Christinas sudden death, only to quickly realize how quickly in life she was entered into the presence of Jesus. WOW! what a comforting though.
I can remember so well sitting in back of her and Trevor in church seeing her grandmother tenderly running her fingers through Christinas beautiful blonde hair. Now she is in the arms of Jesus, and I am sure he is doing the same.
Heaven is all the richer!

You may not remember me unless I remind you of the embarrassing incident at the bus stop with my son, Derrick, and a punch to the nose--one Derrick and I wish we could forget. But I couldn't forget to send you my condolences. I live in Sioux Falls, SD now and it was Derrick that told me of this horrific tragedy. I think losing a child has got to be THE hardest thing one would have to endure in a life time. I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray for comfort for your grieving hearts.

I was deeply saddened by Christina's passing and even though we grieve, she is rejoicing with her Saviour. She was in a couple of the accounting courses I taught at Grace U. and I always appreciated her sweet attitude. She was a great student, too!

I didn't know Christina, but saw her a few times in the halls of Bondurant High School and was in the same grade as Trevor. She seemed nice and was never cruel to the younger students. I'm sorry for your loss and hope your memories comfort you in your time of grief.
