Ankeny
Irene Terrell, 88, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Sunny View Care Center. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, at Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. First St. Ankeny, IA). Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 5, 2010 at Ankeny Funeral Home with burial in Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Irene was born January 19, 1922 in Carroll County, Iowa to Gerd and Tina (Huizenga) Jansen. She married Robert S. Terrell on January 15, 1943.To this union two sons were born, Ronald and Robert. They moved to Ankeny in 1959.
Survivors include sons, Ronald (Pat) and Robert (Deb); four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Mohr; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Robert S. Terrell; parents; and several brothers and sisters.
