David Haraldson Obituary
Clive - David Earl Haraldson passed 01/03/2021. He was born on 10/06/1937 to Signe and Martin Haraldson in Jasper, MN. He joined a brother, Martin D. Haraldson. He grew up in Jasper, graduating in 1955. He attended Minnesota School of Business, where he earned his business degree. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Hawes in 1957 and three daughters blessed this union.
David and Shirley lived in Minneapolis, MN until 1967 when David's job as Regional Sales Manager for Quaker Oats transferred them to Iowa. They raised their girls in Ankeny, IA and retired in 1993 to Bella Vista, AR. They returned to Iowa in 2009 to be closer to family.
David was a man of faith and he enjoyed his family and friends, playing board games, bridge and was an avid golfer. After retirement, he and Shirley were snowbirds in Arizona, California and lastly Florida.
David is survived by his wife, Shirley, their three daughters, Tamara (Jamal), Teresa (Vada) and Stephanie (Steven), 11 Grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and his brother. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial funds to aid in further research on Lewy Body Disease in memory of David can be sent to (Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131) or directly to Shirley Haraldson (835 NE Boston Parkway, #4102 Waukee, IA 50263) to gather for donation to Perry Lutheran Home for their exceptional care of David.

I am sorry to hear of my cousin David's death. My late brother Bob always spoke well of David. Bob and his wife Sally visited David and Shirley in their winter home in the early 2000s. Bob used to reminisce fondly of that visit.

I worked with his daughter Teresa years ago at Drug Town. I wish her and the whole family well.
