Dean Douglas

Grinnell

Dean Douglas, 80, of Grinnell died July 29, 2014, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 1, at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. Burial will be held at a later date at Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present from 4:00 to 7:00 Thursday evening.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Grinnell Regional Hospice or Wounded Warrior Project.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Grinnell; two children, Julie Austin of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and Scott Douglas of Dubuque; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Barbara & children, Mom and I were saddened to hear of Dean's passing. We have so many found memories of the old Sutten Station in Newburg. You, your folks & Dean were all such great friends. Cherish his memories. He was a great guy! Alice McILrath (91 yrs now) and Wendy McILrath Mount rural Churdan area.
