Eugene R. Wright, 76, of Altoona passed away January 26, 2016.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., February 1, 2016 at Ankeny Memorial Gardens (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.)
Eugene was born August 9, 1939 in Melcher, IA. He served with the US Army in Viet Nam. He then went to work for Firestone for 36 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
Eugene is survived by his son, Shane, 2 grandsons, Tanner and Chase; a sister, Janice Wright, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Kathy, and 2 brothers, James and Larry.
