Gene Bass Obituary
Winterset
Gene Bass, 94, of Winterset, died Monday, October 10, 2011, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.
Gene is survived by his daughters, Linda Hupton of Des Moines and Mary Jo (George) Baitinger of Albion; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Velma.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to his family for a future designation.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
