Jackie Lee Adamovicz Sr., 77, died on May, 26, 2017 at Unity Point Taylor House in Des Moines. He was born in Des Moines, on October 13, 1939, to Joseph and Betty (Anderson) Adamovicz.
Jackie enjoyed gardening in his yard, fixing small engines and loved cooking. He cheered on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers. Jackie worked as a mechanic with Standard Oil.
Jackie is survived by his wife, Vonnie; children, Jeffrey (Brenda), Douglas (Lisa), Jackie (Patti), Steven, Jamie (Penny), Lisa, Jason (Toni), Patrick (Annie) Adomovicz; grandchildren, Laura, Mason, Ashley, Morgan, Braiden, Thomas, Samantha, Brandon, Joshua, Catherine, Joseph, Jay ,Maile, Andrew and Johnny; great grandchildren, Elena and Jayden and sister, JoAnn Adamovicz. Jackie is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, LaVern, Betty, Lorrine, Barb, Mary, Tom, Richard.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm -7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Garden, 121 NW 60th Ave., in Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Jackie's family.
