Chesterfield, Missouri
Jon David Morelock, 47, formerly of Des Moines, passed away Feb 18, 2015 in Chesterfield, Missouri. He had been fighting Erdheim Chester Disease since 2008. Jon graduated from Des Moines East and
attended Northeast Missouri State in Kirksville, Missouri where he was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. Jon spent most of his adult life working on golf courses and was a former member of the PGA. He married Brenda Morris in 2002 and is survived by Brenda and their twins Andy and Kendal of Cottleville Missouri; parents Robert and Beverly Sharon, brother Douglas (Robin) Morelock and their family; half brothers Brent (Tobi) Sharon and their daughter and Dave (Sandy) Sharon and their two sons all of the Des Moines area.

The world lost a funny guy. Jon made enough of an impression on my parents that they still remember him from Adams Elementary. So sorry

My heart is very heavy today and my thoughts go out to Jon's family. Jon was a good friend and golf teammate of mine in high school. We played many rounds together and I visited him several times while I attended Iowa State and he was in Missouri. We shared a great love for the game and while I just played he excelled and became a great player. I will miss him a lot and think of him every time I head out to the course. He was a truly great guy and will be missed. "Rest in peace my friend and keep a tee time open for us in heaven" Brad Bellis

Prayers go out to the all the family. I went to school with Jon from elementary through high school. What a nice guy he was. He lived right across the from Adams elementary and we use to say how lucky he is to be so close when we other kids had to walk quite a bit further. Fun memories.
