Jordan Bales Obituary
Sartell, MN, formerly of Runnells - Jordan Tyler Bales, 35, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018, in Sartell, MN. Cremation will follow visitation and a Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter.
Jordan was born June 2, 1982, in Des Moines, to Tracy and Christine (O'Hara) Bales. He attended Southeast Polk Schools. Jordan has three children from his first marriage, Taylor, Brody and Aubree. He and his fiance, Amber have a son, Mannix. Jordan joined the Minnesota National Guard in 2005 and served honorably as a Artillery Specialist with Battery A, 151st Battalion, FA. Jordan later served as a member of a combat escort team in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. They self nicknamed themselves TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and his call name was "Donatello", his favorite turtle. He earned many medals, badges and certificates for actions he performed in Iraq, including a Combat Action Badge.
Jordan enjoyed being outdoors. His greatest joy and passion were his children whom he loved so deeply. Amber was a loving and supportive partner along with her three children, Talon, Brayden and Greyson, who brought him much joy.
Jordan is survived by his mother and step-father, Christine (John) Francis, father and step-mother, Tracy (Lisa) Bales, his children, Taylor, Brody, Aubree and Mannix; sister, Kirsten (Eric) Aguiniga, his fiance, Amber Waye, step-siblings, Dawn Maze, Jon Francis, Stefani (Cory) Eggenberger Scot (Brenda) Francis, and Chris Francis; his grandmother, Karlene O'Hara, and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John O'Hara and Dean and Fern Bales.
The family will receive friends from 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday, February 22, at Iles-Grandview Park Chapel, where a celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Contributions may be made to the family for a memorial for his children. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
