Joshua Vaughan Obituary
Ankeny
Joshua A. Vaughan, 26, of Ankeny passed away unexpectedly December 5, 2015.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., December 10, 2015 at Elkhart Christian Church. A visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9th, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd).
Josh was born July 4, 1989 in Des Moines, and graduated from Ankeny High School in 2007.
He worked at Buffalo Wild Wings, and enjoyed playing X-Box, sport shooting, and fishing.
Josh is survived by his mother, Lori Ayala (Steve Kelling), his father Paul (Lea Ann) Vaughan, a brother John Vaughan, a sister Marie Ayala, brother Nichales Ayala, his grandmother, Jan Frederick, and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Margaret and Red Frederick; grandparents, Bob Frederick, and Leonard and Emmagene Vaughan, and an uncle, John Vaughan.
Josh will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Elkhart Christian Church.

I knew Josh when he lived in Elkhart and went to North Polk...He lived right behind my grandparents house. I'm so sorry to hear the news of his passing. I'm sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with your family in this tough time.

I have never met Joshua, but was told of his sudden death through Anne Spurlock. I feel emotions in many ways for you as we suddenly lost our son unexpectedly when he was 20 years old. I think of your pain, and perhaps pain that I have not experienced that is unique to your family. All I can think and hope of now is that my son is in a safer and happier place. A perfect place. I feel the same for your son. He is now in a place with no pain, sadness, and just many things a young person in this world should not have to live with. It is true that we will always miss them. Especially this time of year. Those times do get slightly easier each year. The worst times are their date of birth and death to deal with, but we do deal with them and go on. We have others to protect and comfort as they hurt also. I pray for your family. May God comfort you in the days and months ahead.
