Joyce Maley Obituary
Elgin
Joyce A. Maley, Captain, U.S. Air Force (Retired), Elgin, SC, passed away on August 1, 2012.
She was born in Iowa on June 5, 1952, to the late Leonard and Cleo Maley, and grew up in Modesto, CA.
Joyce joined the U.S. Air Force in 1977 as a member of the Air Force band and retired in 1997. After retirement, she lived in Elgin, where she bred Chinook dogs and was active in the local music community.
Joyce is survived by her brother, Len (Jean) of Fairport, NY; and her nephew, David (Hollye) of Cary, NC.
A memorial service will be held later in the summer. Donations in Joyce's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Gail Kirkland, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, SC 29078 or Richardson Rescue, 1968 Garvin Road, York, SC 29745.

I am so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. We went to the Univ. of Oregon together and our parents knew each other as my dad was from Iowa. I would appreciate getting in contact with Joyce's brother. My deepest sympathy to the family.
