Marilyn Davis, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Friday, May 15, 2015, after a long battle with dementia and Alzheimer's. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. A graveside service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19th.

Marilyn was born September 27, 1931, in Des Moines, IA to Karl and Hazel Boylan. She attended East High School in Des Moines. Marilyn worked in the Insurance Industry for many years. She enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Cubs play ball with her husband Don. Marilyn also enjoyed taking care of her 4 grandkids and shopping with her sister, Marj.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Dennis (Carol) and Greg (Nancy); four grandchildren, Denny (Betsey), Chad (Paul), Niki (Rudy), and Kati (Devin); as well as five great-grandchildren, Emma, Devin Jr., Eleyna, Christian, and Zoey; and sister, Marj Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Donald; brother, Dick Boylan; and her parents.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
