I had the pleasure of working with Oscar for many years as his accountant with Lucas & Associates in Wichita. We would always manage to find stuff to talk about besides business. I was shocked to hear that he had passed away. I talked to him about a year ago and he did not mention he was sick. He will always be my favorite client, and I count him among my friends. Oscar, I miss you already. May God comfort your family. I look forward to seeing you again in heaven.

I remember so well the fearless and resourceful little boy that was our cousin 'O.' Through my brothers' conversations , and, too briefly, in seeing Oscar over the last few years, I was privileged to reconnect with the brave, loving and joyful man he became. Angie, Dianna, David, Payne, Susie and Jane, I am so sorry.

It is so difficult to express how sad I feel for your loss and the loss we all feel for our dear friend Oscar. I hope for you Angie and Oscar's family that the beautiful memories you shared with Oscar will bring you the most comfort while you grieve. I know that in my life Oscar was "one of a kind" - most definitely "one of the "good guys". I feel lucky to have known and been friends with such a kind and gentle man. God Bless you Oscar.

Wow. Memories growing up in Cimarron, the trips. I could be here all day. Oscar was more then a friend to me. As he said, "You are one of the neighborhood kids." We were family. He will be truly missed by those of us who grew up together in Cimarron and everyone who became his family. I cannot really express the loss that I feel right now. I know that he is in a better place now and he is no longer suffering. He is in my prayers, as is his family. Celebrate his life. OGBT.

My deepest condolences go out to the family of Oscar. I had the honor to know this young man and memebers of his family since the mid 70's. What a joy he was, always smiling and looking for a good laugh. That is what I will always remember.
Rather than tears, I will extend Oscar "cheers!" Such a nice person, such a nice family. Thank you for allowing me a small portion of your heart Oscar.

I met Oscar two and a half years ago at a one-day seminar in WDM...I absolutely remember him! He was so endearing and genuine...if only I'd known he loved wine and good food, we probably would have talked til past the seminar! Anyway, I found that he worked at Farmer's Mutual Hail and asked if he knew Perry Rutledge, who is a close family friend of ours--of course, he knew him. When I went to Perry to tell him I'd met Oscar, Perry went on and on with wonderful stories about Oscar. So very sorry to hear of his passing--much, much too early. I can't imagine your heartbreak....my thoughts are with you at this time. Sincerely, Mary Hansen

I could write a book on the times we shared. Good times and not so good times. He was always a constant. Caring, kind, considerate, the consumate gentleman. Best friend I've ever known. Mischief? We found a little of that along the way as well. Many the time I said, "I don't think you should do that." To no avail most of the time. We're so fortunate to have had him in our lives. Love you Captain O. You're ol' buddy, Steve
