Patricia M. Hart, 66, passed away on March 23, 2009 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
A memorial service will be held at the King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, IA from 2 to 3 p.m. on March 28, 2009. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service with family present from 12 to 2 p.m.
Patti was born on May 24, 1942 in Raritan, Illinois. She worked at Sheaffer Pen, Inc. for many years before retiring and then moved to West Des Moines where she worked as a caretaker. Patti was a very loving person, always giving of herself and enjoying a wonderful support group of friends. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, fishing, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
Patti is survived by her three daughters and two son-in-laws, Cathy Ormsbee (Michael) of Osage Beach, MO, Jayne Hart of Heidelberg, Germany, Stacy Cox (Rick) of West Des Moines, IA, three grandchildren, Chelsea Cox, Joseph Cox, and Ashlynn Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chet and Laura Hyatt and her brother, Charles Hyatt.
The family would like to thank the many Doctors, Nurses, Hospice Staff and caretakers who took such loving care of Patti. Also, heartfelt thanks for all the cards, visits and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, Patti requested that Memorial contributions be made to the Newberry Center.
