Paul Groth Obituary
Thayer
Paul Groth, 72, of Thayer, died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines, Iowa.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset; where the family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 7 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset; where a luncheon will immediately follow. Burial will take place in the Calhoun Cemetery, Missouri Valley at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family and on-line condolences may be left at ochiltree.com.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Doug) Pitt of Missouri Valley; Teena Groth of Orient; a son, Scott (Lynn) Groth of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mary (Larry) Conrath of Des Moines; 5 grandchildren, Bryant Coberly (Annie Mackey), Tasha Coberly, Barret Pitt, Brenden and Caden Groth; several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loraina who died October 20, 2008, parents, and a sister, Jeanne Rogers.
