ROBERT "ROBBIE" SEARS
Des Moines
Robert "Robbie" James Sears, 25, passed from life on Monday, October 11, 2010. A celebration of Robbie's life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, October 16 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
Robbie was born October 19, 1984 in Des Moines. He attended Lincoln High School. He was a proud resident "southsider" all of his life. Robbie was employed by Waldinger Corporation where he worked as a sheet metal worker, but most people will remember him as their personal mechanic, putting other people's needs ahead of his own in order to provide assistance.
Robbie is survived by his father, Craig Sears; mother Lorrie Cottrill; step-father Chris Cottrill; brother Kelly (Jennifer Hodges) Sears; sister Melody Sears; step-sister Kelly Cottrill; niece Dilana; nephews Dominic and Kelly Jr.; grandfathers Frank Sears and Tom Allen; grandmother Betty Sears as well as many cousins and a myriad of friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Rose Allen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to be used for funeral expenses.
