Services for Sanford C. Kragskow, 86, who died Monday, November 23, 2009 will be held 11 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2009 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Sandy was born August 10, 1923 in Omaha, NE to Otto A. and Katherine C. (Coulter) Kragskow, grew up in St. James, MN, and served in the United States Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. After his Honorable discharge from the Navy, he attended the Minneapolis Business College and in 1947 went to work for General Mills retiring in 1986.
On July 21, 1945 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Mann and to this union two sons were born. The family moved to Indianola in 1957.
Sandy is survived by his sons, Jeff and David; grandson, Jon Kragskow; sister, Nancy Olsen; and sister-in-law, Beth Swanberg. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Mildred.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Monday, November 30 at Overton Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Indianola
