Sol hired me as Dial's first marketing director. He supported me when it was not popular to do so. Results - Dial's share of market and margins soared, which helped prompt the firm going on the NYS exchange and David Rockefeller wanting to bring about a merger with the Chase. Why he left Dial, I never knew for sure. Sol was a very bright and fun person to be around. He loved his family and his faith.
