She was preceded in death by her father, Richard, sister-in-law, Earlene Smith, and grandparents.

A service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, January 22, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in West Des Moines, Iowa, with visitation preceding the service at 9 a.m. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge.

Heartfelt sympathy to the Ludgren and Smith families. It saddens my heart to hear that Vicki passed. She was such a ray of sunshine when I worked with here at Meredith,. She will never be forgotten for her bright smile when she walked into a room and always being so positive about everything in life. May God be with you in your sorrow. Vicki wil have no more pain and suffering and is looking down and will be with you everyday in your hearts.
