William Vestal Obituary
Ankeny
William F. "Bill" Vestal, 75, of Ankeny, passed away March 10, 2013, at Granger Nursing Home. According to his wishes, his body has been cremated. A celebration of his life will be held later this summer.
Bill was born January 17, 1938 in West Des Moines, IA to Homer and Jane Vestal. He was a graduate of Valley High School, a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from a long career in automobile sales.
He loved his children and grandchildren, and was very proud of their talents and accomplishments. Bill liked sports, outdoor grilling on his deck and was a big Elvis fan.
Bill is survived by his son Brian (Vicky) Vestal, daughter Jodi (Monte) Green, four grandchildren; Nicholas Green, Dalton, Bristol and Briley Vestal, and his soul mate Joan Vestal.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Hospice.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Bill and I were 3 months apart in age and were friends from kindergarten thru high school. We had so many good times together and I know how much you will miss him. God bless you all!

Condolences for your loss. My first memory of Bill was, we were both about 5 years old. He lived on 4th St. in old W.D.M. I lived across the St. with my grand parents and Mother. Many memories as we grew up together. I'm sure he will be missed. Don
