CALVIN HUYSER Obituary

HUYSER CALVIN JOHN 85, passed to glory April 12, 2010. He was born in Detroit, MI on December 24, 1924 to John and Stella Huyser, and married Evelyn Parks on February 23, 1951. As a Navy shipman he honorably served the United States of America in WWII. He was an elder statesman in his church, a faithful prayer warrior, and a loving friend to all. He will be greatly missed by his two children, Richard Huyser (Ellen) of Brighton, MI, Constance Sieplinga (Harry) of Grand Rapids, MI; two grandchildren Howard Max Sieplinga and Eli Calvin Sieplinga; brother Albert Huyser (deceased); sister-in-law, Agnes Roskam of Bloomfield Hills, MI; nieces and nephew, Denise, Anthony, Barbara and Aimee Huyser; brother-in-law Ronald Parks (Sharon) of Bonita Springs, FL; sister-in-law, Karen Kruh (Brian) of Hayden Lakes, ID; sister-in-law Melva Parks of Canton MI; nieces and nephews, Carolyn Parks Hubbard, David Parks, Michael Parks, Ronald Pasco, Liz Bancroft, Debbie Pasco. We take comfort and know that Calvin belonged body and soul to his faithful Savior Jesus Christ, who shed His precious blood for him, assuring him of Eternal Life in Heaven with Him. A time of remembering Cal will be held on Saturday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Reformed Church, Grosse Pointe Park. In honor of Cal, charitable donations can be given to the Mission Fund at First CRC or the Autism Respite Fund for Andrew Parks; make check payable to David Parks 5277 Alexander Drive Britton, MI 49229.
