EDWARD "WOODS" August 9, 2016, age 60. Beloved husband of Laurieanne. Father of Ben (Jennifer), Rebecca Zeiter (Eric), and Travis. Poppy of Sam Robinson. Brother of Sandy, Davin, and the late John. Leaves behind a host of family and friends. Family will receive friends Friday 1-8 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road (between Maple and Big Beaver), 248-362-2500, with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass Saturday 9:30 a.m. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 4571 John R, Troy. Visitation at church begins Saturday at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations will support the UMH Transplant Center Lung Fund. Checks may be made to "University of Michigan" and sent to Medical Development, 1000 Oakbrook, Suite 100, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. You may also call 734-998-6893 or visit the website

We were friends at DCDS and graduated together in 1974. We remained connected through the mid 1980s both living in Beverly Hills. I have fond memories of those years and am saddened to hear of Woods' passing. May God grace sooth your family during this difficult time. God's speed Woods Robinson.
