ELLEN HELLER

Born Ellen Marie Ackley on December 20, 1917 in Detroit. Married to William P. Heller, February 11, 1940. Ellen Marie Heller passed away on October 22, 2007. She was a resident of both Harbor Springs, Michigan, and St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Predeceased by her husband, William Paul Heller, Sr., son Douglas Heller, and brothers Harold Ackley and William Ackley. Survived by son, William Paul Heller, Jr. (Robin), daughters Bonnie (Alan) Gilford, Linda Heller, Karen (Ben) Heller-Klinck, loving grandchildren Wendy Miller, Rebecca Nadel, Bill III and Elizabeth Heller. Ellen's interests and activities were many: Bridge Groups, Conservation, church and charitable organizations. In Harbor Springs: Little Traverse Conservancy, Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council, Christ Child Society, Harbor Springs Historical Society, Crooked Tree Arts Council, North Michigan Hospital Foundation, Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. Grosse Pointe area included: Pointer Girls, Grosse Pointe Women's Club, S.E. District Michigan Association of Healthcare (MAHA), Metro Detroit Choral Society, Valparasio Women's Guild and St. James Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to Little Traverse Coservancy, Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council, Hospice of Little Traverse Bay or Children's Hospital of Michigan. Interment: Forestlawn Cemetery.
