Gerald Celeskey Obituary
Warren - Gerald T. Celeskey, passed away November 1, 2018 at the age of 87. He graduated and earned his Law Degree from the University of Detroit Law School and retired from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office. He was a proud member of the American Polish Century Club in Sterling Heights and former Chairman of the Board at Motor City Credit Union. He also belonged to many other organizations. Beloved son of the late Leonard and Josephine. Dear brother of Patricia (the late Norbert) Zapinski, Corinne (the late George) Wiland, Veronica (John) Nantais and the late Sr. Barbara Cleskey, SJ. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Thursday (November 8) 5-8 p.m. and Friday (November 9) 1-8 p.m. with a Rosary Friday 7 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Rd. (west of Hoover) Warren. Instate Saturday (November 10) 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Rd. (north of 13 Mile) Warren. Interment St. Hedwig Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations addressed to the Capuchins are preferred. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.wasikfuneralhome.com

Jerry was a great neighbor and friend. I loved his wonderful spirit and his sense of humor. He was a sharing and loveable friend. I am going to miss my awesome dear friend.

I first met Jerry about 30 years ago thru a few Single Social groups. He was always so warm and so kind, and above all a TRUE gentleman. Very sad to hear about his passing.

I met Gerry more than 40 years ago when he was practicing law in the old Recorders Court. He was and remained a warm, kind gentleman albeit never reluctant to utilize his razor-sharp wit to bring one back to earth.
