Gerald Hirzel Obituary
Howell - On Saturday, June 26, 2021, a strong, compassionate, father, husband, son, friend and true force of nature, Gerald Ralph Hirzel, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years old. Jerry was born in Ann Arbor Michigan on August 8, 1937. In 1962, Jerry wed Pamela Belanger on August 25 and they celebrated 58 joyful years of marriage. Together, they raised a son, Eric, and a daughter Becky. Jerry worked as a railroad engineer for 42 years after serving his country both in the United States and overseas. Jerry is survived by his sister Margaret (Eliuk), his two children Eric (Valerie) Hirzel and Becky (Gunnar) Styles; and four grandchildren, Trevor, Hunter, Brecken, and Shaw. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother and father, Henrietta and Carl, his brother William, and his beloved wife Pamela Hirzel.
