McMEEKIN JOHN BELL March 31, 2012 in Cheboygan, MI. Age 97. Beloved husband of the late Carol (1994). Dear father of Ellen Jane (Larry) Deyo and John Bell (Joannie) McMeekin IV. Also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Former resident of Royal Oak for 60 years. In 2002 he moved to Indian River, MI. He loved sports, dogs, animals, and nature. He loved his family and all people in general. he was always cheerful, always laughing, and always happy. He loved playing cards and collected prizes he won (such as stuffed animals) and gave them to his family. Even now, he was fostering rescued dogs. Visitation Tuesday 2-8 p.m. at the Edward Korkoian Funeral Home Spiller-Spitler Chapel, 836 N. Main St., Royal Oak, 248-541-8325. Funeral Service Wednesday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at White Chapel Cemetery.
