Bill and Rita Hibbeln were saddened to hear the news of Bert's recent passing and send their condolences to Lucie and all the family. Lucie and Bert were dear friends of Bill's sister Ineke de Bruijn.

Dear Lucy, Lucille and Family,
Shirley and I were just notified of the passing of Bert. We are so sorry to hear of your loss and our sympathy and condolences to you, Lucille and your Family. I have such wonderful memories of the times working with Bert in the Regional Food Unit in Vancouver and he was such a mentor and friend. We are on vacation in Maui and will not be able to attend the celebration of Bert's life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of such a wonderful person. May time heal your heartache and sorrow.
